    Gold - New Brighten Pier

I grew up in Christchurch, and would go with my family to the New Brighten Pier, with its newly constructed library and cafe attached. There would often be people fishing from the end of the pier, and lots of people walking up and down it.

Without the people, the children, the noise, this scene becomes one of contemplation. The gold streaks across it remind me of the glory of God - the one who made the earth, the seas and everything in them.
